Thesaurus builder crashes on Vista ultimate 32-bit edition
Hello everybody,

I am new to "addict". I am going to have to build a new dictionary and
thesaurus for geological and oilfield terms shortly.

I've installed the addict 3 plus pack in D:\Delphi\Addict3pluspack
and the program has full write access into that directory.

As a test case, I started up the "thesaurus builder"  and tried to
convert the file "legal.txt" (downloaded from the addict web site,
contained in legaldict.zip) into a thesaurus file.

I consistently get the following error message:
Access violation at address 0044e9b1 in module "thesbuilder.exe".
Read of address 00000000

When I try the same thing using the file "legalwords.txt" I get a
"list index out of bounds".

So, it looks like the thingy is not working. Or does it just not
work under Vista?

(In order to reply per e-mail, please just remove the ".net"
from my e-mail address. Leave the rest of the address intact
including the "antispam" part. I had to take this measure to
 counteract unsollicited mail.)

I doubt Legal.txt is formatted correctly for the Thesaurus - did you read
the Readme File about how the text file needs to be structured?

I can send you (off-list) the source to the Roget Thesaurus if that helps -
just email me direct...

BTW The Thesaurus Compiler works fine for me on Vista :)
